Dónde comer en Madrid

Whether because you are visiting the capital of Spain, or because you want to treat yourself, you cannot miss the following gastronomic recommendations that we bring you. All of them are perfect for a romantic date, a hangout with friends, or simply a special dinner. (Updated May 2022).

1. The Ling. Velázquez Street, 54. Velázquez Metro (Line 4).

It's a classic, we know; Precisely that is why we know that it never fails, whether it is a first date, a birthday, or a Friday night with friends... La Maruca is always perfect.

Their dishes are simple but made with high-quality food, and prepared with a delicacy that always leaves us wanting more.

It has an average price of 25 or 30 euros per person, and in our opinion, a safe option is the cod brandade fritters in tempura, and the creamed hake with baked potatoes.

Apart from its emblematic location on Velázquez Street, it has a more recent one on Paseo de la Castellana, 212, which is usually a little clearer, and where it will probably be easier for you to find a place to reserve.

2. The Pagoda. Calle Félix Boix, 7. Plaza de Castilla Metro (lines 1, 9 and 10).

If you are looking for a place to taste exquisite quality Asian food, this is your place. They have innovative dishes, a menu that is updated over time, and some specialties that you cannot miss.

It has an average price of 20 or 25 euros per person, and in our opinion, you cannot miss their prawn popcorn or their yakisoba. Specifically, the popcorn is so delicious that we have even fought to get the last prawn popcorn on the plate.

3. Udaipur Indian Cuisine. Paseo de la Castellana, 74. Metro Gregorio Marañón (líneas 10 y 7).

A highly recommended Indian food option right on the Paseo de la Castellana. Although in our case we chose the terrace option, we recommend that you ask for a table inside the establishment, because the decoration is absolutely fascinating, and will leave you speechless.

The average price is 25 or 30 euros per person, and if you are not looking for too strong flavors (there are much spicier options on the menu), we suggest the vegetable samosas, and the salmon with coconut and mango sauce, an authentic experience. for the senses.

4. Grosso Napoletano. Varias ubicaciones.

An ideal option for those of you looking for pizza with a special touch. An Italian who has become so famous in Madrid, that he already has various offices in the city. We have tried the place on Santa Engracia, 48 and the one on Paseo de La Habana, 27, both equally delicious.

The average price per person is 20 or 25 euros, and we recommend the gran borghese pizza and the calzone.

5. El Urogallo Casa de Campo. Paseo Puerta del Ángel, 12. Metro Lago (línea 10).

Although this restaurant has several locations in the capital, we find this the most spectacular, and eating surrounded by nature, with views of a lake where boats float and ducks splash around, is a luxury in Madrid; If you can also do it without having to travel a long distance, it is even better. Its spectacular terrace is ideal for summer nights, and we are sure that if you take your date to a restaurant like this, they will be speechless.

The average price of this restaurant is 20 or 25 euros per person. Among our favorites… the salad, the fabada and the cachopo.

6. Street Food Asiática. Calle Silvano, 77. Metro Canillas (línea 4).

Este mercado de comida asiática es todo un descubrimiento. Un poco alejado del centro de Madrid, pero perfectamente comunicado, y muy cerca del aeropuerto Madrid Barajas.

Se ubica dentro del Centro Comercial del Palacio de Hielo, y una vez traspasamos su puerta, nos sentimos como si hubiéramos llegado a Singapur, o a Corea, o a China…

No es un restaurante al uso, sino un conjunto de puestos de comida asiática, donde puedes escoger si te apetece probar un pollo satay o unos udones. El pedido se puede realizar en cada foodtruck, o en unas pantallas que se ubican a la entrada del local.

Si no os decidís, no pasa nada, porque se pueden seleccionar platos de diferentes foodtrucks, y te avisan al móvil cuando tu pedido está listo.

Nosotros pedimos pad thai, baos de pollo teriyaki y pollo satay, y nos encantó, además el servicio es muy rápido, y el sistema de aviso al móvil nos pareció soprendente y relajante, ya que no tienes que estar pendiente de si están o no preparados tus platos, sino que te avisan en cuanto están listos.

En cuanto a precios, nos ha parecido bastante económico, unos doce euros el platos (sin bebida), el pad thai con langostinos (muuuuy sabroso, nos costó 11€).

7. A’Fenestella. Calle Torquemada, 25. Metro Mar de Cristal (líneas 7 y 4).

Hemos incluido en nuestra lista este italiano con ambiente familiar y comida deliciosa, además de sorprendente.

En nuestra reciente visita pudimos probar un entrante de queso horneado que estaba fabuloso; un plato de pasta fresca con calabacín y gambas que nos encantó y que promete convertirse en uno de nuestros favoritos, y una de sus pizzas (que hornean en horno de leña) y que sabía deliciosa.

Las raciones son abundantes, de hecho, nos llevamos pizza a casa porque no pudimos terminarla; así que si vais, pedid teniendo esto en cuenta.

En cuanto al precio, cuesta entre 20€ y 30€ por persona, dependiendo de si pedís vino, o no, y de si tomáis postre, pero los platos principales rondan los 15€ cada uno.

8. La Pecera del Círculo. Calle Alcalá, 42. Metro Banco de España (línea 2).

Es uno de nuestros sitios preferidos para comer un menú del día espectacular. El menú cuesta 18€ por persona y es de buena calidad, con múltiples opciones de primeros y segundos, y va variando cada día.

En nuestra última visita probamos el risotto, los gnocchis, huevos rotos con gambas y estofado de ternera, además de postre, tomamos profiteroles y tarta de queso. Todo estaba espectacular, y nos encantó.

Os aconsejamos que reservéis si tenéis intención de comer aquí, ya que tiene mucha demanda, y está siempre lleno.

9. Bonus. Galerías Canalejas. Calle Alcalá, 12. Metro Sevilla (línea 2).

Actualmente en remodelación, solo cuenta con un área de cafetería que aún no hemos probado.
